Kipp & Zonen is sinds 1830 gespecialiseerd in het ontwikkelen, produceren en aanbieden van solar- en atmosferische meetinstrumenten. Met het kloppende hart in Delft - waar de R&D afdeling zorgt voor state-of-the-art oplossingen voor de meteorologie, klimatologie, agricultuur, zonne-energie, hydrologie, milieu en industrie - is Kipp & Zonen vertegenwoordigd in meer dan 160 landen wereldwijd.

Naast de samenwerking met de internationale wetenschappelijke wereld en het WMO (World Meteorological Organisation), werkt Kipp & Zonen, als marktleider op het gebied van solar meetinstrumenten, regelmatig samen met universiteiten en onderzoeksinstituten.

Het leveringsprogramma van Kipp & Zonen neemt een unieke plaats in binnen de wereld van de meteorologie. De instrumenten zijn het resultaat van eigen ontwikkelingen die al rond 1920 zijn gestart. Al vele jaren produceerd Kipp & Zonen een secundaire standaard voor het meten van zonnestraling.
